Owned by the University of California, LBNL’s 202-acre wooded campus is located in the hills above UC Berkeley in a spectacular natural setting with dramatic views to the San Francisco Bay. LBNL developed over time, however, with environmentally unsustainable patterns such as poorly-sited facilities, an aging collection of over 100 buildings, problematic traffic circulation, and an inefficient distribution of infrastructure.

Nautilus helped LBNL develop a Vision Plan to create a distinctive campus in harmony with its global leadership in transformative, multidisciplinary science and its cutting edge work in the environmental and energy research.
