Created around the Civil War, this basin offers a unique resource today as an inlet sheltered from the currents of the East River. Like many waterfront properties, challenges are presented by deteriorating bulkheads, antiquated buildings and infrastructure, poor vehicular circulation, and environmental concerns.

Nautilus acted as a confidential advisor to a private owner to assess the potential of the properties, evaluate alternative development schemes and design a development concept which protects the value of the real estate. We also helped manage the multi-faceted implementation process, including rezoning and remapping actions.
